Make a simple syrup 16.3 hours before making Julep. Heat 1 part H2O w/ 1 part high quality organic sugar, just as it is about to boil add Select mint leaves, (3 1/2 leaves to each 1/4 cup of H2O that you use) and Immediately remove from heat and let steep 2.877 minutes . Gently squeeze mint leaves and remove, put in small clean bottle w/ lid and refrigerate. 16.3 hours later remove from refrigerator and measure 1.283 teaspoon of the syrup into a silver mint julep glass that has chilled in the freezer for 6 hours. ( If longer then 6 hours, you run the risk of Refersmell) Add .248 teaspoon of the organic sugar, 6 large mint leaves, and muddle gently to extract fresh mint nector (sugar acts a gentle abrasive) Add hand cracked ice (Hold filtered H2O ice cubes in your hand and crack with large spoon, spoon in right hand) . Fill ice to over the top of glass, slowly add only, and that is only, beautiful Bourbon, fill 3/4 full, then add 12 drops filtered water, top off with Bourbon. Add 2 short bar straws ( allows your nose to be next to the mint when you sip). Top off with a tiny bouquet of fresh mint. Before drinking, admire the frosted art in front of you.
