How To Host A Santa Themed Christmas Party

Hosting your own Santa themed Christmas party can be delightful and quite rewarding as well. Not only do you have the opportunity to be around your closest friends and loved ones, you can also dress in your favorite Christmas costume.

Christmas Themed Invitations

Start by setting the tone of your intended Christmas party with your invitations. Be playful with your holly jolly wording and be sure to let your guests know if you want them to bring anything or dress up a certain way. The invitations to your party should get your guests excited to attend. Be sure to set a convenient date to ensure the most attendance.

Encourage Guests To Dress Festive

Be sure to let your guests know that you will be dressing in Christmas attire. Encourage them to do the same. They can keep the theme going and dress as Santa Claus, or if preferred, as one of his helpers.

Decorate How Santa Claus Lives In The North Pole

Decorate your home or party venue how you think Santa Claus lives. Go all out! Make sure you have Christmas lights up indoors and outdoors. Display a beautifully decorated Christmas tree with Santa Claus ornaments. Place Santa Claus figurines on display. Set your table with red and white dishes, or use Santa themed dishware.

Assemble A Christmas Santa Beverage Station

Enjoying festive drinks is a wonderful tradition during the Christmas season. Santa has many favorite holiday beverages. Pick your favorites to set up for all your guests to enjoy. You could serve eggnog, peppermint hot chocolate, apple cider punch, gingerbread lattes, or even a candy cane martini. Get creative and find what recipes you enjoy most.

Supply Santa Hats For Your Guests

In the event that your guests decide to come without a costume, then you can supply them with a beautiful Santa Claus hat. Set up a table where your guests can easily grab a hat. You could even put out items for decorating the hats. Having small activities for your guests keeps them engaged while having a joyful time!

Play Christmas Movies

Set up a cozy sitting area with Christmas movies playing for entertainment. Watching Santa perform on television may encourage others to embody his presence for the party. Classic films like "It's a Wonderful Life," "Miracle on 34th Street," or "Elf" are terrific, Santa approved, movie choices.

Santa Themed Christmas Treats

Who doesn't love treats at a party? Serve treats that Santa would love and you'll be doing great with your guests. You could make Santa shaped cookies, Santa hat cake pops, Christmas rice crispy treats, Santa hat brownie bites (brownie topped with a strawberry and whipped cream), Christmas fudge, Santa decorated cupcakes, Santa hat cheesecake bites and so much more!

Christmas Themed Picture Display

Everyone loves a dedicated picture area. Especially if it's beautifully decorated as Santa would like it. Put up a backdrop photo, or create your own festive area with Christmas themed props where all your guests can pose and remember the terrific Santa themed Christmas party they attended.

Secret Santa Gift Exchange

Santa loves giving gifts during Christmas. Be sure to include details about the secret Santa gift exchange in your party invitations. Set a small price limit on the gifts. Tell your guests to have fun with it but not to worry about over spending. Also, each gift is given by a secret sender, so this adds an element of surprise and excitement to the exchange. A Santa gift exchange is a wonderful way to share the holiday spirit amongst your friends and loved ones.

Create A Santa's Playlist

Your Santa themed Christmas party wouldn't be complete without some Christmas music playing. The music will surely put everyone in the Christmas spirit. Santa has a lot of favorite Christmas carols, so be sure to pick out a bunch and keep the tunes going throughout the entire Christmas party.
