Top 10 Ways For Santa To Gain Weight
Yes, I know we are all always trying to do just the opposite. Well for Santa Claus, he has a certain look that the children have come to associate him with. A skinny Santa may have the kids asking too many questions this upcoming holiday season. Therefore, it is absolutely necessary (so we say) for Santa to start gaining those pounds. Summer is over so ditch the salads and move into some more delicious fall casseroles.
1. Eat, Eat, Eat
Try not to get too occupied going through all those wish lists that are coming in. Make sure you are still eating enough food every day. You can skip breakfast and go for two big meals during lunch and dinner. The traditional three meals a day is a good solution as well. A really great way to plump up would be to eat several (5-6) small meals a day.

2. Relax
The busy season is still on the horizon so right now is the time to ease up on the daily busy routine. Sit back and start making your lists for the upcoming season. Plan your holiday schedules and don't stress too much. Truly just moderate your daily activities to include plenty of relaxation.

3. Have a treat!
There's nothing wrong with snacking in-between meals. We recommend you have at least one treat a day! Besides, a happy Santa makes for a joyous season all around the world.

4. Limit your beverage intake right before meals
Filling up on drinks may ruin your appetite and make you feel full before you actually are. This is a great way to lose weight but certainly not to put it on. If you are going to have something to drink right before a meal, try avoiding water and reach for a glass of milk instead.

5. Put on healthy fat
Gaining weight doesn't have to be just loading up on pizza and sodas. Try eating healthy foods but larger portions. Avocados are a terrific source as they are loaded with healthy fats. Avocado goes great on toast or made into guacamole served with chips. By the way, don't forget your fruits and vegetables with every meal!

6. Bedtime snacks
A really great way to start packing on pounds is to eat right before bed. Have a snack in the evening. Nuts, trail-mix, and cereal are great ideas! Also, I really enjoy pairing peanut butter with fruit every now and then.

7. Drink your calories
Who doesn't love an excuse to drink a milkshake? I know I sure would if I were trying to put on weight. I highly recommend a double chocolate Oreo shake! Oh and don't forget the whipped cream. Of course, you could always go on the healthier side and go for a delicious fruit smoothie drink too.

8. Add more protein to your diet
It is very important to still maintain a balanced diet while trying to put on the ideal Santa Claus weight. Be sure to bulk up on your protein intake. Great ways to achieve this is by eating more eggs, almonds, cheese, or Greek yogurt just to name a few.

9. Exercise with strength training
Gaining weight sounds like a lot of fun but it's important to make sure you stay healthy as well. I recommend you still make time to exercise and build strength while doing so. Of course, you don't want to lose all the hard work you're putting into gaining the weight. Therefore, I encourage you keep your gym time to a few different strength building techniques: squats, push-ups, bench press, pull-ups, and dips.

10. Sugar cookie & Eggnog diet
Alright, I'm half joking with this one although it does seem quite tempting. In all seriousness, eating only sugar cookies and drinking eggnog could help you add some numbers to the scale, but it's probably not what I would recommend as a first choice. It may however, bring on a diabetic shock and that we certainly do not encourage.
